Sergeï Lemeshev

Sergei Yakovlevich Lemeshev (; – 27 June 1977) was a Soviet and Russian opera singer and director. People's Artist of the USSR (1950).
Lemeshev was born into a peasant family, and his father wanted him to become a cobbler. In 1914, he left a parish school and was sent to be trained to make shoes in Saint Petersburg.
