Neglect of historic organs is sometimes a 'blessing in disguise'. In this way, old organs have been preserved in entire regions, which at least have not been ruined by unhistoric interventions. You just have to wait for a prince who kisses this organ property awake like Sleeping Beauty. A long time ago there were radio series about organs in Poland and Bohemia.

… about historic organs on Mallorca. Recently Arnaud de Pasquale went to Sicily to record the historic organs of Noto, Regalbuto, Castelbuono, Ficarra and Alcara Li Fusi. Fortunately he received help from the organ builder Francesco Oliveri to make the often neglected instruments playable. In Alcara Li Fusi there was even a hole in the roof, right above the organ from 1666. Nevertheless, this instrument sounds here in its full glory. We mostly hear lesser known South Italian music. Such as the double-choir work by Vincenzo Gallo, who was active in Alcara Li Fusi. Besides organ we also hear contributions of soprano, violin and zinc. (HJ)more
