Born in Morocco but raised in the Netherlands, Najib Amhali is one of the most popular comedians in the Netherlands. Amhali graduated from the acting school at the Utrecht School of the Arts, but at one point he also started working as a stand-up comedian. This 'extra income' grew at the seams and Amhali soon made full-length cabaret programs. Black sarcasm and cynicism are alien to Amhali: above
… all, he is the joker who gives the audience a cheerful evening. In his fourth cabaret program Most Wanted - with a Delft blue tile decor - he mildly pokes fun at Dutch and Moroccan culture and tells many funny anecdotes. Hilarious are Amhali's memories of his circumcision, an STI test and being fined for urinating in public on Rembrandtplein. He also plays the Indonesian type Lonny in a clever way and turns out to be a great musical talent. The DVD offers many nice extras, such as an endearing interview, Cousin Lonny backstage and funny ringtones. (SvdP)more
