On this double CD Bram Vermeulen has a number of songs, which he has written, collected and re-edited over the years. The cover provides a lot of information written by Bram himself: it can be read that Arizona bar is the first song, which he wrote after Neerlands Hoop In Bange Dagen (then still together with Freek de Jonge) and the numbers 1 + 1 = 1 and Laat Me Met Rust, for example, are supplemented
… with applause from Paul McCartney Unplugged. The title piece De Beuk Erin appears three times on the CD. These are always completely different songs, each listening song, accompanied by a piano or an entire orchestra, with Peter Wassenaar on bass and Roy Bakker on percussion. It is a varied CD, on which Bram Vermeulen presents his vision of life, here and there frivolous or mildly cynical and sometimes serious again. (GW)more
