In 2010 singer, presenter and jury member Gordon founded a Dutch version of Il Divo and named his five-member boy band Los Angeles, The Voices. On the debut album, singers Gordon, Richy Brown, Peter William Strykes, Roy van den Akker and Remko Harms performed mostly Dutch-language crossover pop with melodic solo and polyphonic vocals accompanied by a large orchestra. LATV conquered such a large
… audience with this formula that their second album Because We Believe came in from nowhere at number 1 of the Album Top 100. Fans will not be disappointed with this second album, of which Gordon wrote all the lyrics that include Niels Schoombee were set to music. The boy band sings a Dutch version of Ralph van Manens Testify To Love as well as classics like Bocelli's Because We Believe, Frida Bocara's Cent Mille Chansons and John Farnham's You're The Voice. Grieg's Morgenstimmung's melody was used in the chorus of There Goes My Heart. The album also features a moving song Gordon wrote for his mother who died in 2010. (SvdP)more
