Benjamin Biolay's album Trash Yéyé gave the French singer, pianist and songwriter Julien Clerc the idea to ask this innovative multi-instrumentalist, arranger, songwriter and producer to produce his latest studio album together with Bénédicte Schmitt. That turned out to be very handy, because Biolay effortlessly wrote the arrangements, also played various different instrumental parts and so in
… between two more lyrics for Clerc flowed from his pen. For the album Où S'ent Vont Les Avions? Clerc continued to make music to his favorite lyricists such as Gérard Duguet-Grasser, Maxime Le Forestier, Jean-Loup Dabadie and David McNeil. He also composed music on a song by Carla Bruni and two by Gérard Manset. Biolay understood very well that Clerc's singing voice and piano playing are his signature, the basic conditions.
