With the single Perdono from his debut album Rosso Relativo, the Italian singer Tiziano Ferro scored a big summer hit in the Netherlands. But that was it in our little country. Ferro's second album 111, however, was received very enthusiastically in the more warm-blooded Southern European and South American countries and established his name as a great artist. The album written entirely by Ferro is less experimental and varied than 111, contains less R&B influences and more Italian pop in the vein of Nek and Eros Ramazzotti. Eight of the eleven tracks are quiet melodic ballads with acoustic accompaniment. Exceptions to this are the uptempo dance numbers Baciano Le Donne (with fellow artist Biagio Antonacci), E Raffaella E ' Mia and the pounding hit single Stop! Dimentica, with electronic experiments and inspired by the pop style of the eighties. Recorded at Abbey Road Studios in London, this album sounds more serious, darker and more homogeneous than 111.
