The soundtrack of this Disney movie features a number of potential hits, such as "Colors of the wind" by Vanessa Williams and "If I never knew you" by Jon Secada and Shanice. It is the first time that a Disney film is based on historical events and real people. That is why many of the songs on the soundtrack have also been cleverly adapted to the era (the 17th century) in which this takes place,
