Switching Gears has become a varied CD, dominated by heavy blues, with influences from funk, rock and zydeceo. Jimmy Thackery wrote eight of the twelve songs on this CD. Roy's Bluz is by Roy Buchanan, It's My Own Fault by Riley King, Still Raining, Still Dreaming by Jimi Hendrix and If This Is Love by blues great Joe Louis Walker, who also plays on this song.
