More than eight years after the release of their first joint album
TajMo, blues greats Taj Mahal and Keb Mo' join forces once again. Room On The Porch features a blend of blues, soul and jazz. Mahal and Mo' are 83 and 73 years old, respectively, so they bring their music with the necessary composure. Let that happen to be the strength of this record. The songs on Room On The Porch, most written by
… the artists themselves, sound warm and optimistic. The term "feel-good blues" may sound contradictory, but it covers pretty well what the gentlemen present us with on this album. One of the highlights is the classic Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out, in which everything comes together: soulful vocals, heartwarming choruses and tasteful guitar work. (JV)more
