The American fusion band Fattburger celebrated its twentieth anniversary with the release of Work To Do at the end of 2004. The title of this CD, based on the Isley Brothers song of the same name, indicates that Fattburger is not finished yet. Twenty years ago they started as a fusion band, but over the years they have increasingly moved towards the better marketable smooth jazz. The wick of the
… past has been exchanged for music for the fireplace. Besides Work To Do they also cover Little Sunflower by Freddie Hubbard and You're The First, The Last, My Everything by Barry White. The rest of the material is interchangeable and offers few highlights. This CD is especially interesting for the true smooth jazz lover. (AD)more
