One jazz lover praises Dave Grusin while the other can shoot him. As co-founder of the GRP label, pianist Grusin can be regarded as one of the inventors of smooth jazz. With a few exceptions, the result has very little to do with jazz, many songs can be described as instrumental pop with classical influences.
