From 2006 onwards, Yuri Honing and his electric band Wired Paradise conquer the world with a mix of jazz, rock, pop and electronics in which Honing's saxophone takes the place of the vocal part of most pieces. … was inspired by Indian writer Aravind Adiga's book The White Tiger, which is considered a blueprint of Indian society and made a big impression on Honey. Most of the CD was recorded in Mumbai. The straightforward playing of rhythm tandem Mark Haanstra (bass) and Joost Lijbaart (drums) is more likely to be expected in pop music than in jazz, but it is fully in line with Honey's philosophy. A guest role is reserved for Frank Möbus (Der Rote Bereich) whose raw, inventive guitar playing sheds a completely different light on pieces that have been released on CD. (AD)more
