The youthful girl trio Atomic Kitten filled the gap in British teen acts after the breakup of the Spice Girls, Boyzone and Take That, a genre our neighbors seem to have patent on. Formed in 1999 by former OMD member Andy McKlusky (from Maid Of Orleans), Liverpool's Kerry, Liz and Natasha quickly landed a record deal. … See Ya and Whole Again. The latter hit is exemplary for the entire album smoothly produced and easy on the ear dance-pop with lyrics on the ever intriguing subject of love. That should appeal to the average teenage girl, all the more because the Atomic Kitten story is the setting for real soap operas: Kerry left the group just before the release of the debut single due to her pregnancy from Westlifes Bryan McFaden and had to pass up the success.
