Heather Nova (1968) grew up in the Bahamas with her hippie parents, to later study film studies on the American mainland. Inspired by icons Patti Smith and Lou Reed, Nova began writing music, resulting in two successful studio albums to date. On her third album South, the singer / songwriter shows her well-known side: low-tempo, accessible pop and beautiful love songs that she interprets angelically
… with her clear girlish voice. South is therefore an album that is pleasant to listen to, but also offers little spectacular. The time seems ripe for new challenges. Heather Nova's first collection of poems is published in October 2001. (BP)more
