Singer Chris De Burgh has British parents, but he was born in 1948 in the Argentinian capital Buenos Aires, where his father was working at the time. He started making music around 1975. He achieved his greatest success in 1986 with the single The Lady In Red. In 2002 he is a lot more popular in Europe (the Netherlands, Germany, Norway) than in his own country, while his albums are not even released in America anymore. Timing Is Everything ... is the sequel to Quiet Revolution (1999). The album was again produced by Chris Potter and of course contains some typical Chris De Burgh ballads, which especially the female fans never seem to get enough of. In heavy songs like Bal Masqué and the single Guilty Secret, however, he shows that he can also rock nicely in his old age.
