The young Flemish girl group M-Kids consists of twin sisters Tamara and Davina Cambré and their younger girlfriend Britt De Winter. In Belgium they scored their first success with the single Swingen, which was taken from the debut album Cool (2001). In April 2002 the second album Crazy was released in Belgium, which was at the top of the Flemish album charts for weeks. In the same period there was
… a first tentative breakthrough in the Netherlands with the cheerful single Funky Monkey. During the summer holidays of 2002, the M-Kids performed for 12,000 wildly enthusiastic young people during the Fox Kids Planet Show in the Rotterdam Ahoy. Subsequently, the singles The Jungle Song and Halloween also achieved high positions in the Dutch charts. And now there is finally the long-awaited first 'Dutch' M-Kids album. The best and most famous songs from Cool and Crazy have been merged into Vetcool! which also contains the new song Over En Out. The temptation is great to describe M-Kids as the younger sisters of K3. The music sounds just as nice and uncomplicated, the dances are just as fun and even the photos in the CD booklet are reminiscent of the layout of the K3 CDs. Actually, I could only discover one difference: unlike K3, the M-Kids have their own comic strip!
