Clawfinger was founded in Stockholm in 1988 and was immediately a big name when debut album Deaf Dumb Blind was released in 1994. The reason for this was that the band introduced an almost completely new combination of hard metal / industrial with hip-hop. Clawfinger has since been followed by bands like Biohazard, Rage Against The Machine and current big names like Limp Bizkit and Papa Roach. And
… although the band just kept releasing records, it has fallen into obscurity over the years. That this is more than unjustified appears on this new album Zeros and Heroes. Overwhelming, fat and hard as hell are only the first expletives that could apply to this album because if Clawfinger ever left, this would be the most convincing come-back album in years. The Swedes sound inspired and sincere and have made an incredibly varied record with dazzling melodic metal. Listen to opener and title track Zeros And Heroes and you are convinced. Clawfinger rocks!
