Ginuwine, together with Aaliyah and Missy Elliott, was part of the group of artists that was always around producer Timbaland. It was Timbaland who produced Ginuwine's first two albums, The Bachelor (1996) and 100% Ginuwine (1999). On his next CD Life (2001) he collaborated with other producers. This CD was no less successful, but Ginuwine started to sound more and more like other r & b crooners.
Timbaland is also missing from The Senior (2003), but he is now replaced by, among others, R. Kelly, who produced the first single Hell Yeah. The Senior is another typical Ginuwine album that sings about sex (In Those Jeans, Sex) and parties (Hell Yeah) just as easily as about fatherhood (Our First Born).
