Musical star, actor and singer Bastiaan Ragas started his musical career with the boy band Caught In The Act. This Dutch version of Take That (or any other random genre colleague), collected by producers, was more popular abroad than in their own country, and especially in Germany the CDs flew over the counter for a short time. In total, Caught In The Act sold more than million CDs. When the group
… falls apart in 1998 after five years, Ragas starts a solo career. His first CD Tomorrow Is Looking Good is released in 2000, but is largely ignored. Ragas got the male lead in the musical Aïda in 2001, for which he received a Musical Award. After this he plays in the musical 3 Musketiers, from which the song Alles (together with Tooske Breugem) becomes a considerable hit. He also acts in several television series. Ragas can now call himself a 'Well-known Dutchman' and his second CD Outragas can count on a lot more attention. Outragas is filled with fairly heavy middle of the road rock songs, partly written by Ragas himself. Not very special, but very radio-friendly. (IV)more
