Between 1997 and 2001 the Scottish band Belle & Sebastian released seven EPs on the small label Jeepster, which was largely maintained by Belle & Sebastian. There were no album tracks on the EPs and that made them special, so that every fan had to purchase the EPs in addition to the full CDs. Those who missed this can now go to the compilation Push Barman To Open Old Wounds, which contains
… all seven EPs. Unfortunately the two CDs do not contain any new material, but they do contain some of the best songs Stuart Murdoch and his colleagues have made so far. Dog On Wheels, Marx And Engels, This Is Just A Modern Rock Song, I'm Waking Up To Us, Lazy Line Painter Jane, Slow Graffiti and Jonathan David: they remain fantastic songs, also in this (clearly audible) remastered version.
