Fatherhood means a profound change in his life for every man. This is also the case for Richard Dorfmeister and Rubert Huber who have kicked no fewer than three offspring into the world since their previous Tosca CD Delhi 9. JAC stands for Joshua, Arthur and Conrad, the names of their three sons. It goes without saying that the blaring of the three sprouts drowns out the music that comes from the
… studio in the Tosca house. The fathers' sleep is cruelly disrupted and the package of daily activities is greatly expanded with new tasks such as powdering baby bottoms, reading and inducing burps. This new life can be a tremendous source of inspiration. Unfortunately this does not apply to the guys from Tosca, because JAC sounds as if they are plagued daily by lack of sleep and do not have a moment of rest during their production work. As a result, JAC has become a lackluster repetition exercise in which too much of their trademark, a dense formation of echo clouds, ensures that this CD cannot even stand in the shadow of their previous work.
