Italo disco or 'hi nrg' is once again enjoying increasing popularity in nightly club life. Rotterdammer Alden Tyrell was one of the first to do their best to polish the disco balls again in order to make them shine again in the old-fashioned way during the inevitable revival. His first maxi Love Explosion was immediately a big underground hit and can be found on this CD in a new version with vocals by the well-known Italian singer Fred Ventura in the eighties. In each track, his predilection for old skool disco producers like Bobby Orlando and Patrick Cowley is evident with rousing, echoing sequencer carpets. By using only the most refined ingredients, this chef knows how to avoid all the pitfalls that made the genre so corny at the time.
