The Mexican-American band Los Lobos broke through in the eighties with the album How Will The Wolf Survive (1984) and the hit La Bamba from 1987. In the course of the nineties Los Lobos has become increasingly distant from the 'poppy 'sound from that time. The record features lazy, languid summer night songs (the title track and Oh Yeah), filthy rockers (Viking), traditional Mexican songs (Cumbia Raza and Corazón) and Tom Waits-esque blues rockers (Some Say, Some Do).
