Despite the fact that AC / DC's sixties take it a lot slower, the group remains unabatedly popular. The first concert on Dutch soil in seven years was sold out within an hour. The fans had to do it for the past seven years with reissues, DVDs and luxury boxes with archive material. With Black Ice, the five Aussies deliver a new album for the first time since 2000. Although AC / DC delivered a few
… lesser albums in its history, there were still a few hits on those records. And so it is with Black Ice. Rock N Roll Train, Big Jack and War Machine thunder through the speakers as usual. The tight rhythm guitarist Malcolm Young and the rhythm section of Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams enable the more visible band members (bellow Brian Johnson and of course solo guitarist Angus Young) to shine. With Black Ice, AC / DC and its fans are experiencing a convincing comeback. (PdK)more
