In the nineties no band from the Benelux was as successful as K's Choice. The group around Gert and Sarah Bettens could count on a lot of attention in both Europe and North America. After four albums, brother and sister Bettens called it a day. The rack was gone and they felt like they were repeating themselves. Echo Mountain is the first Flemish album since Almost Happy (2000). … songs are neatly distributed on two CDs; one filled with alternative rock and one filled with ballads. From the start of CD one it is clear that the group has remained itself and in that sense the danger of repetition is still lurking. But it is also clear that the pleasure of making music together is back. Echo Mountain is therefore a well-chosen title. The songs are of a high level, the production is pleasant and the harmony vocals can be recognized by thousands. Without any traces of old age, K's Choice sounds like old times.
