Ellen ten Damme's first Dutch-language album was an instant hit. was her best-selling CD ever and was also awarded with the Gouden Nutekraker Prize. Ten Dammes guts is paid and luckily she chooses to record another Dutch-language CD. Just like on Dare You? About half of the lyrics were written by Ilja Leonard Pfeijffer. His poetry fits seamlessly with Ten Damme's texts. They are direct, tough and
… sometimes even painfully honest: exactly as we know Ten Damme. The music on Het Regende Zon is also of high quality. Ten Damme convinces in both the rock numbers and the modest listening songs. 'Enjoy!' it says on the back of the case as an instruction. That certainly works, because there is no mediocre song on this record. In fact, Het Regende Zon is one of the best Dutch-language CDs that saw the light of day in 2012. (PdK)more
