Five years after his successful second album (2007), Burial has released an album of new material. A lot has changed for the London artist since then. His identity is no longer secret. Meanwhile, you can read on Wikipedia that he listens to the name William Bevan in everyday life. All the people who thought or behind the dark dubstep were disappointed. Now that the storm has settled around his
… person, Burial still appears to make dark ambient. The music on the EP's Street Halo (2011) and Kindred (2012) is a lot calmer than that on Untrue or the self-titled debut. Burial takes twice as much time as before, so his numbers fluctuate between six and eleven minutes. A whole sit, where you as a listener regularly dream away pleasantly. The dance floors will not fill up when this CD is put on, but that does not make the music any less effective. It is the ideal soundtrack for a follow-up after a busy working day or the last round in a sweaty club full of tired dancers. (JE)more
