It has taken a long time, but there is finally the official debut of rapper Sjaak. The coarse raps and unpolished performance of this Amsterdam Moroccan were first heard on the track Ik Heb Schijt by former THC'er Appa from 2007. 'Mister Sjeiks' then became more of the mix tapes and guest contributions. The album Strijdersystem has to demonstrate whether the rapper can carry an entire album with
… his humorous, talk-it-yourself street rap. The productions of Soulsearchin 'and Big2 by The Opposites, among others, often function purely and solely as a foundation for the voice of Sjaak, the real attraction on this album. The entertainment level is very high for those who appreciate the hilarious lyrics with English and Dutch expressions. The charismatic Sjaak knows where his strengths lie and makes good use of them. The tracks Hasselhoff and Jean-Claude Van Damme are some of the highlights of a nice album that takes a little too long. (GL)more
