With their debut album One For The Mrs, Haarlem based band Chef'Special was very successful in 2011. Two busy years full of live performances followed and the five even became the house band of De Wereld Draait Door for a while. … For The Mrs sounds a lot more mature and as lead singer Joshua Nolet says: 'less party.' Chef'Special once again pleasantly surprises with no fewer than fifteen songs. The album is a mix of afropop, funk and grooverock and contains a number of extremely catchy tracks. That catchiness is expressed on the one hand in up tempo songs like the danceable Eden and the more groovy Julie, but also on subtle tracks like On Shoulders and Free Chef'Special sounds pleasant and well thought-out.
