Southern rock, preceded by dinosaurs from the Southern states of America like Allman Brothers Band and Lynyrd Skynyrd, has passed its peak for decades in 2015. Originality is not intended, but the way in which a hillbilly fiddle duels a screeching electric guitar in Holding At The Roses is remarkable to say the least. Because of the high retro quality you cannot call Holding At The Roses an honest record, but singer / guitarist Charlie Starr and his four buddies have their hearts in the right place. (MR)more
