Guy and Howard Lawrence, the Disclosure brothers, gave the sequel to their acclaimed debut (2013) the title Caracal. That's the name of a wild cat, with cute black feathers on its ears. The caracal is mainly active at night, and Caracal seems to be made for nightlife, because there is plenty of dancing. Not in sports halls among the crowds, but rather in a stylish club, an expensive drink within
… reach. With Settle, Disclosure managed to create their own sound with great success, a mix of UK garage and (nineties) house that has always retained a pop feeling thanks to the contributions of countless guest vocalists. That sound has not changed very significantly on Caracal. And now, Disclosure has enlisted the help of several famous singers, such as , , and . Although the tempo is sometimes turned down a bit for more r & b-tinged songs, most of the tracks are aimed at the dance floor, with nice wobbly bass lines and shuffling hi-hats. The surprise may have disappeared a bit, but Caracal sounds very pleasant. (IV)more
