Swedish singer Tove Lo (real name: Ebba Tove Elsa Nilsson) likes to screen with tragic - and mostly deceased - sources of influence: , , Edie Sedgwick and , to name a few. It earned her the nicknames 'Sweden's saddest woman' and 'Sweden's darkest export product'. Judging from this second album, things are not too bad in terms of darkness and Lo is in the shadow of in that respect . Musically,

Like debut album , Lady Wood is divided into sections: Fairy Dust and Fire Fade. The second half is the most convincing. The hit-sensitive Imaginary Friend in particular is what you call a nice song.
