Suddenly there was that dark soul voice on the radio. The song Human became a big hit for Rag'n'Bone Man in 2016. It was a surprise that behind that soulful voice was a stocky, ruddy Brit with tattoos. Typical case of a rough shell and a white pit, because Rory Graham (as he is registered with the registry office of Brighton) does not play hide and seek with his emotions. The music varies: from
… old-fashioned soul to trip hop and worn piano ballads. If those songs had all been as strong as Human, this album would have become an unadulterated classic. Unfortunately that is not the case. Graham's strong voice ensures that there is plenty to enjoy. That voice must be his trump card in order not to degenerate into a 'one-hit wonder'. (PdK)more
