If you can't beat them, join them. That statement is made for James Blunt. The Briton lost his position as 'most loved singer / songwriter in the world' to that broke record after record. Instead of blaming Sheeran in the press, the lovable Blunt invited his colleague to write songs together. He gladly agreed, because the younger Sheeran indicated several times in interviews that he admired Blunt's
… work. A win-win situation? The two ballads that Blunt wrote with Sheeran are not the strongest but the most sentimental songs on this album. A difference from the more uptempo songs with which Blunt opens this album. Also nice is that Blunt shows some of the self-mockery that he also allows on his Twitter account. Or as he sings in Love Better: 'Would have said' You're beautiful ', but I used that line before'. (PdK)more
