The title of Bear Den's third album is derived from a poem by the Chilean poet Pablo Neruda ('Para que tú me oigas'). After two successful albums and accompanying tours, Andrew Davie and Kevin Jones withdrew to work on their third album. Davie was confronted with problems in his family. The theme of the record thus became the inability to get through to anyone. After the pair had hung the banjo on
… the wall on and moved more towards stadium rock, they also add a lot of electronic music to their grand rock on this third album, with a little folk from their can be found in it. Davie tries to appeal to the listener's heart, but the real emotion is missing on this otherwise well played record that feels rather thirteen in a dozen. (JvQ)more
