After (2016), Angie Stone comes out again after three years with an album full of original material. Despite a change of label, she still uses the same production team that was also responsible for (2015). Stone clearly shows on Full Circle why she has persisted in music for so long. She is at her best with songs that many other singer would lose. Summery grooves are alternated with passionate
… ballads, but unfortunately also with artificial sweetness that immediately makes you reach for the bowl under the sink. Unfortunately, the real funk is saved for last. Let Me Know's sound would really set her apart from the rest of the neo-soul movement. (AD)more
