Together with fellow countrymen such as and , the Swedish Tove Lo has now emerged as a pop princess. That this lady has a less good side, was already evident from her hit Habits (Stay High). Drugs and explicit lyrics continued to be part of her music. Her third album is called Sunshine Kitty, but that sounds more fun than it is. Also on this album Lo sings about things like heartbreak and jealousy.
The whole is dressed up with a very cold production of r & b and dance. Prize songs include Glad He's Gone, a catchy song in which Lo expresses relief at her friend's stranded relationship. And also the slow burner Really Don't Like U, a collaboration with none other than , manages to capture the somewhat drizzly atmosphere Lo incorporates in her music by keeping the production fairly minimal.
