Ava Max's debut album has been split into two parts: Heaven with more delicate and danceable songs, opposite Hell where the music has a dark undertone and more emotions. As a whole, the American seems to have consciously focused on writing pop anthems. She sometimes loses herself a bit in that large amount of energy and that while the singer refused to put a single ballad on the album. By the way,
… with songs like Kings & Queens and Belladonna you can hear Marina's sound strongly. By often using a vocoder, the pop gets a mechanical layer and in the second part of the album synthesizers make the songs more vague. Remarkable is the sample of Peter Schillings Major Tom in the song Born In The Night. There could have been more of these unexpected moments, because despite the large amount of catchy pop songs, Ava Max doesn't quite know how to distinguish herself from her fellow pop singers.
