Following King's Disease (2020), NAS once again joins forces with producer Hit-Boy for the sequel King's Disease II. On this album, NAS takes an unblinking look back at his turbulent past and reflects on his current life. Unsurprisingly, he repackages his story with virtuosic raps and haunting hip-hop production. In that sense, NAS is repeating the successful formula of its predecessor - for which
… he won a Grammy. The same focus returns on this album as well, for despite the sometimes punchy songs, Nas remains self-aware and doesn't sway with a mash of samples.
