Roos Meijer and Javier den Leeuw are close friends. Together they battled through those difficult adolescent years with their band Maida Rose. They could be open to each other and share their problems (the growing pains, saying goodbye to your youth) and translate them into the music of their debut Tales Of Adolescence, which they worked on for five years, in the attic of Den Leeuw's parents. … their chosen style they make no secret: Maida Rose plays dream pop. This translates into (indeed) dreamy and almost liquid songs that form beds for Meijer's warm and melodic vocals. The mood music was arranged to perfection and nowhere does it deviate from the dream pop concept. As a listener, you also start dreaming, sometimes forgetting about the music.
