You radiate

Overijssel-based band Jimmy Diamond released their debut Common Sense/Commotion in 2021 and was contracted by renowned indie label Excelsior to produce follow-up You Radiate. The band plays indie rock with influences from americana and roots rock. With that information in mind, it is not crazy to think that band was eager to record in the States. They did so in Los Angeles, in the studio of producer… Kevin Ratterman, who has previously worked with My Morning Jacket, Emma Ruth Rundle and Ray Lamontagne. Ratterman may be held responsible for the big layered sound, which involves considerable turning of the reverb knob in addition to overdubs with synths and pedal steel. It's a sound that Jimmy Diamond thrives on, because the songs stand like a house. (JV)more
