It doesn't get more soulful from a contemporary artist than this. Durand Jones' new album Wait Til I Get Over sounds like an oldie but is fresh off the press. For those unfamiliar with this act, Durand Jones consists of no less than three musicians: lead singer and saxophonist Durand Jones, singer and drummer Aaron Frazer and guitarist Blake Rhein. … soul group, the band has only been around since 2012. Their music falls under the retro soul movement. And the fact that the music sounds like oldies is a treat for the old soul lover. Quotes from his grandmother, life lessons and side notes from the area he comes from: Hillaryville, Louisiana. The album Wait Til I Get Over is the definition of Soul. (LdS)more
