New York duo Sofi Tukker's third album is called BREAD, which stands for Be Real Energetic and Dance. Fortunately, for energy and danceability, you're in the right place with Sophie Hawley-Weld and Tucker Halpern, who on this album continue the lineage of their previous two albums. Once again there is a mix of styles on the menu, ranging from electropop to Latin. It's no surprise that they are
… releasing their album again in the summer, because the sun spontaneously starts shining when this music pops out of the speakers. Although the twosome doesn't essentially tinker that much with their formula, the versatility of genres, variety of tempo and a list of guest artists (this time it's Kah-Lo, Mc Bola and Channel Très) makes for a dazzling whole where every song is completely different. Sofi Tukker's great strength lies in the casual atmosphere and euphoria their music generates. (JvQ)more
