Nina Persson's clear, almost childlike voice is the trademark of the Swedish band The Cardigans. Emmerdale is an easily digestible and cheerful pop album, with peaks in the direction of jazz and 'easy tune' on the one hand and rock on the other. Very special is Our space, a jazzy trip-hop song. The weak point of the album is that you occasionally crave a track that is a bit rougher and less sunny.
Even the song with the ominous title Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is a cheerful pop tune.more
