Dutch prog rock bands from the 1970s - such as Kayak, Alquin and Earth & Fire - have a cult following all over the world. The Hague Supersister, with Robert-Jan Stips as the most famous band member, broke up in 1975 but decided to organize a reunion 25 years later, after being invited by the organization of the festival Progfest in Los Angeles. After this successful performance, which can be
… admired on the second DVD, the band also gave a few performances in the Netherlands, including one in Paradiso, the hall where the band gave its first performance in 1968. The reunion turned out to have come just in time, a year later - in 2001 - flautist Sacha van Geest unexpectedly passed away, which meant the definitive end of the band. For the people who missed the performances at the time, the DVD Live At The Paradiso 2000 is a godsend. In addition to the concerts in Amsterdam and Los Angeles, there are photos, portraits from the VPRO archive and glimpses behind the scenes. (MS)more
