If it were up to the British band Radiohead, this compilation would never have been released. But when it comes to their back catalog, Thom Yorke and his men have little to say, since they chose not to renew their contract with Parlophone, a sub-label of EMI, after Hail To The Thief (2003). And as if that society wanted to add some extra pep, it mentions with every track in the booklet: 'recording
… is owned by EMI Records.' The CD released simultaneously with this DVD raised the question of the added value of a 'best of' of such a typical album band as Radiohead. After all, records like The Bends and OK Computer are best listened to as a whole. This is much less true of the DVD version, on which all the clips of the band are collected. After all, these clips are much less easy to obtain and, at most, can be seen in a greatly reduced quality on sites like You Tube. Add to that a number of previously unreleased videos and we're talking about a product few dedicated fans can afford to miss. (MS)more
