The album August And Everything After was the breakthrough for the Californian band The Counting Crows in 1993. The band has now sold more than twenty million albums worldwide and it was time for the first live DVD. This year the Counting Crows have been celebrating their twentieth anniversary with this concert registration of the first album. The concert was recorded at The Town Hall in New York
… and includes all the songs from August And Everthing After. The fact that only 1500 people fit in the Town Hall creates an extra intimate atmosphere. Highlights include the well-known Mr. Jones and the passionately sung by the fans Rain King, which turns into Bruce Springsteen's Thunder Road halfway through. As a bonus, the concert will be followed by an interview with Adam Duritz and Charlie Gillingham in which they delve deeper into Augustus And Everything After and the history of the band. (BvdV)more
