Since the late nineties, the York group Mostly Autumn has managed to build an international fan base practically on its own. Folk, classic rock and seventies prog are the ingredients, until April 2010 with a great sense of drama and theater led by singer Heather Findlay. She opted for a solo career with which background singer Olivia Sparnenn moved to the center of the stage. That Night In Leamington
… is a reflection of Findlay's farewell performance. A great opportunity, it turns out, for an extensive career overview of the group with repertoire that goes back to the early days. That Night In Leamington is therefore an excellent DVD to discover the extremely well-kept and tastefully performed songs of this group. Fans can drink from Findlay's long goodbye at the end of the show, with tears, group hugs, emotional speeches, etcetera, with a clingy Roger Hodgson number in the background. Mostly Autumn performed strongly that same year, without Findlay, with the album Go Well Diamond Heart. (MR)more
