A debut album full of vibrant and festive folk music! Marvara is an international folk band founded by Belgian bagpiper Marieke Van Ransbeeck. She fell in love with energetic folk music at a young age. After studying Flemish bagpipes and baroque musette, she was the first Belgian ever to follow up her studies in Scandinavia. The two-year Nordic Master in Folk Music course took her to Sweden, Denmark,
… Finland and Norway. In addition to Belgian accordionist Hilke Bauweraerts and Van Ransbeeck herself, Marvara therefore includes musicians from Denmark and Sweden.
